India engaged in its first meeting with Taliban’s acting defense minister, Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, in Kabul on Wednesday. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations, focusing on humanitarian cooperation and other key areas. India is considering increasing its role in Afghanistan’s reconstruction, encouraged by the Taliban’s assurances of preventing anti-India activities on Afghan soil.
