Farooq Abdullah said that ongoing violence in Jammu and Kashmir will persist until India and Pakistan improve relations. Referring to a recent ambush in Gulmarg, he urged Pakistan to seek friendship with India and focus on its own issues. He also called for the Centre to grant full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
