In an unprecedented operation, Kerala’s GST intelligence wing seized 108 kg of unaccounted gold from 78 jewellery units in Thrissur. The covert raids revealed concealed sales turnover up to Rs 1,200 crore. The gold, now in the treasury, can be reclaimed post payment of penalties and GST. Investigations will continue over weeks or months.
