Indian and Chinese troops have begun phased disengagement at Depsang and Demchok in eastern Ladakh, dismantling temporary posts established since May 2020. The new patrolling pact ensures pre-informed patrol schedules to avoid confrontations, with the process expected to take around a week for verification and compliance.
