Following the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar by Israeli forces, the group opts for a five-member ruling committee based in Doha instead of appointing a single successor. This interim committee, formed after political chief Ismail Haniyeh’s assassination, will lead the movement until new internal elections scheduled for March.
