A 16-year-old girl in Andhra Pradesh’s Kadapa district died after being raped and set on fire by Jakkala Vignesh. The accused, who had a past relationship with the victim and is now married to another woman, was arrested and has confessed. CM Chandrababu Naidu has directed police to expedite the trial and seek capital punishment.
