The Supreme Court has asked Delhi’s lieutenant governor VK Saxena to file an affidavit on actions taken against those responsible for felling nearly 1,100 trees in Delhi’s Ridge area for road widening. The court seeks clarification on permission discussions, timing of LG’s awareness about the need for permission, and measures taken against the erring officers.
