India’s trade deficit narrowed to a 5-month low of just under $21 billion in September as exports grew by 0.6% while imports rose by 1.7%, according to official data. China surpassed the US as India’s largest trading partner during April-September, with UK emerging as the third largest export destination after overtaking China.
