Nobel Peace Prize awarded to atomic bomb survivors’ group Nihon Hidankyo

The 2024 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Japanese organisation Nihon Hidankyo, honouring atomic bomb survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Recognised for their fight against nuclear weapons and emphasis on witness testimony, this grassroots movement represents hope and peace. The Nobel committee announced this among the 286 nominated candidates.
