Torrent Power Ltd has been awarded a contract by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd for the long-term supply of 2,000 MW from a pumped hydro storage plant. The power will be sourced from Torrent’s storage capacity in Maharashtra for 40 years, with the company investing substantially in green energy initiatives.
