The government is planning to expand the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) to cover treatments for Alzheimer’s, dementia, heart failure, and other illnesses affecting seniors. This move aims to benefit around six crore individuals aged 70 and above, providing them with timely and affordable healthcare under specialized packages.
