Police in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region have recovered additional bodies of three Maoists, raising the death toll to 31 following a fierce encounter with security forces. Spanning a 10km area in Abujhmarh, the gunfight lasted from 1 pm to 9 pm. Security forces retrieved automatic firearms and explosives, marking the highest Maoist casualty in a single operation since the state’s formation.
