The government has appointed three new external economists to the RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee. These members, Ram Singh, Saugata Bhattacharya, and Nagesh Kumar, will vote on interest rate decisions alongside RBI officials. This change occurs before the MPC meeting scheduled for October 7-9.
