The Andhra Pradesh government has suspended the SIT probe into the Tirupati laddu ‘prasadam’ case till October 3. The decision follows a Supreme Court hearing that questioned the state’s claim of using contaminated ghee without solid evidence. The court stressed that faith matters should remain outside the realm of politics. It sought answers from the state govt and TTD on how they came to the conclusion that contaminated ghee was used to make the laddus.
