BJP wins last vacant seat of MCD’s standing panel, AAP calls vote ‘illegal’

The BJP clinched the last vacant seat on the Municipal Corporation of Delhi’s Standing Committee without opposition as AAP and Congress councillors boycotted the vote. Sunder Singh of BJP secured all 115 votes from his party, while AAP’s Nirmala Kumari got none. This gives BJP a majority with 10 members to AAP’s eight.
