Mumbai received over 200mm of rain in five hours on Wednesday evening, resulting in four deaths and widespread disruptions including waterlogging, traffic jams, and train delays. The BMC and TMC declared holidays for schools and colleges. A red alert was issued for Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad until Thursday morning. Several flights were diverted due to adverse weather.
