An inter-departmental committee is proposed to address the rise of online gaming platforms and ensure regulatory compliance. The GST intelligence wing has acted against 118 domestic entities and identified 658 offshore ones for non-compliance. Legal clarity on a 28 per cent tax rate exists, but enforcement is still difficult.
