Chief minister Mohan Yadav has called for a ban on meat and liquor consumption in religious towns along the Narmada river. He highlighted environmental protection measures, including managing Amarkantak through a development authority and using advanced technology for waste management. Machine-based mining activities in the river will also be prohibited.
