In Kalukunta village, Govindamma, aged 55, was tied to a pole and severely beaten after her son married outside their caste. Her clothes were ripped off during the attack. Police rescued her and she is now being treated at Yemmiganur government hospital. Ten suspects have been identified and cases have been filed against them.
