IAF wants Tejas jet production to be ramped up as US delays engines supply

The Indian Air Force calls for increasing Tejas fighter jet production to address its squadron needs. The supply of GE-F404 engines from General Electric is anticipated to start in November, aiding Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in meeting production goals. New contracts are being finalized to further bolster fleet strength over the next 15 years.
