India’s domestic air passenger traffic hit around 133 lakh in August, up by 2.3% from July and showing a year-over-year growth of about 7%. Capacity deployment by airlines increased as well. The aviation sector expects moderate growth in FY2025, with international passenger traffic for Indian carriers projected to grow by 15-20%.
