The BJP has sharply criticized JKNC vice president Omar Abdullah for his remarks on Afzal Guru, convicted in the 2001 Parliament attack. BJP leaders accused him of making anti-national comments to win elections. Abdullah clarified that his government had no role in Guru’s execution and would not have approved it if required.
