Foreign minister S Jaishankar justified the scrutiny of Chinese investments in India due to its ongoing border issues and overall relations with China. He noted that many countries scrutinize Chinese investments for security reasons. Jaishankar also stressed the need for regional stability, highlighting improved relations with Maldives and support extended to Sri Lanka for stability.
