Tariq Hameed Karra, chief of the Jammu and Kashmir Congress, stated the party’s readiness to contest all 90 assembly seats independently. He explained that the alliance with the National Conference arose from national compulsion to ensure stability and welfare. An agreed seat-sharing arrangement was announced earlier this week.
