The BJP has accused Mamata Banerjee of failing to act firmly against rape cases in West Bengal and set up fast track courts in the state. BJP reacted after Mamata shot off second letter to PM Modi expressing concern over the lack of central legislation for rape. The West Bengal chief minister said Union minister Annapurna Devi’s reply to her letter was “generic which barely attended the gravity of the issue.”
