Akasa Air launched daily direct flights between Mumbai and Kuwait City on August 23. The first flight departed from Mumbai at 7.50pm and landed in Kuwait City at 10 pm. A ceremonial lamp was lit at the Mumbai airport, and a special boarding pass was given to the first passenger of this inaugural flight.
