India and the US enhanced their major defence partnership to support a free and open Indo-Pacific, addressing key regional security issues. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan discussed defence collaboration projects and potential industrial cooperation. This followed Singh’s talks with US Defence Secretary Lloyd J Austin on strengthening bilateral initiatives amid China’s expansionist behavior.
