The Cabinet was expected to give final approval for Vistara’s merger into Air India, clearing the FDI by Singapore Airlines into AI. Following this, SIA will acquire a 25.1% stake in the merged airline by investing Rs 2,059 crore. Tatas will retain 74.9% stake. Passengers will be notified post-Diwali about their flight details on Air India.
