Tata Motors’s ‘micro SUV’ Punch topped India’s car sales from January to July 2024, selling over 1,26,000 units. The Punch has benefited from its new category, competitive pricing, and electric and CNG variants. Its success has led other manufacturers to adopt similar dual-fuel strategies for micro SUVs to meet diverse customer needs.
