Eye on China, India & Japan to upgrade pact to counter security challenges

India and Japan, during their 2+2 dialogue, agreed to revise their 2008 Joint Declaration on Security Cooperation to address current security challenges. They discussed Chinese assertiveness in regional seas and explored joint security cooperation with third countries. They also addressed global issues, including the Russia-Ukraine war, and reaffirmed their stance against cross-border terrorism.
