Dr P K Mishra, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, chaired a high-level meeting to discuss India’s preparedness for mpox. Health Minister JP Nadda also held discussions on Saturday on measures to be implemented at airports, seaports, and health facilities. Monkeypox has been declared a global health emergency, but there are no reported cases in India so far.
