In a press release addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the IMA outlined a series of solutions and demands aimed at addressing the deep-seated vulnerabilities that the tragedy has exposed. “Doctors especially women are vulnerable to violence because of the nature of the profession. It is for the authorities to provide for the safety of doctors inside hospitals and campuses,” the press release said.
