In July, India’s wholesale price inflation slowed to 2%, down from 3.4% in June, owing to a favorable base effect. However, the prices of vegetables and food items saw a sequential rise. Notably, potato inflation jumped by 76.2%, and onion inflation soared to 88.8%. Key contributors included food articles, mineral oils, and natural gas.
