A study by Policybazaar revealed that nearly a third of health insurance claims are due to seasonal infectious diseases like dengue, malaria, gastroenteritis, and influenza. These claims, driven by poor hygiene and environmental conditions, vary throughout the year, with treatment costs ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 1,50,000. Hospitalization rates for such illnesses have also increased.
