Resident doctors at major government hospitals in Delhi decided to indefinitely halt elective services from Monday in protest of the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata. They demanded immediate action and increased safety measures for healthcare workers, including enhanced security in hospitals and the implementation of the ‘Central Protection Act for Doctors.’
